I checked the DVD after Nero Burning ROM had done it's thing (and told me "burn process failed". To my amazement, all the VOB and other files were there! Only problem, the extracted file in my *.rar download is not a *.avi file, it is a *.img file, which my computer opens with Nero Burning Rom. I receive this "WinRar Packed Data CRC Error" message too frequently in my movie downloads - more often than not at least one of the *.rar files gives this error. It is a pain in the butt. I am a novice computer user, I would really like to know what CRC Error actually is, but more importantly, how to avoid it in the first instance. I think the problem is most likely on my side, because I think it is unlikely that almost every movie I try to download from various websites contains corrupt files. Occasionally I am lucky and I am able to download all the *.rar files of an *.avi move without any WinRar CRC Error Messages, but mostly not.
